Vintage Report : 2003

Margaret River - 7/10
Another dry winter. Mild conditions prevailed during spring and summer with intermittent rainfall. Hot, windy weather arrived in February bringing forward ripening. A cool break in March and over vintage was much welcomed by the workers, but the fruit actually struggled to reach phenolic ripeness. This is an average year, but some very good wines were made.

Great Southern - 6/10
A moderate vintage. Warm/mild conditions prevailed over summer after a cold mostly dry winter. Intermittent rains dogged some vineyards causing some disease pressure. A rainy March and cold nights made it a difficult vintage. Shiraz fared better than Cabernet, but this isn't a great vintage.
