Margaret River - 9/10
A cool year. Very dry winter conditions meant low soil moistures and a need for supplementary water especially during early spring. Budburst was early and uneven. Spring rains finally arrived, the precursor of a mild, stable, near-perfect growing
season. The vintage was slightly late but the fruit was beautifully intense and balanced
Great Southern - 8/10
A cool spring and poor flowering was followed by a cool/mild elongated summer.Yields were low, but the overall quality was good. The wines will show a cooler spectrum of flavours.
